Ge-ne-sis

Today I finished reading the book of Genesis.
I have read this several times already but this time, it really is worth reflecting.

The book of Genesis is a total book of provision. God has provided, He provides and the Lord will provide.
(see all tenses of verb at work) Wow! Ultimate provision!
Let's take it 1 by 1:

God provided a world for us.
He created a beautiful and wonderful world for us in just 6 days!

God provided Adam a mate.
Since it was not good for him to be alone, God gave Adam, Eve.

God provided an offering for Abraham.
Because he obeyed, he spared his own son.

God provided everything Noah needed to build the ark.
Noah just had to follow and obey and everything else fell perfectly in place.

God provided a wife for Isaac.
Did  Abraham's servant go through  a head-breaking search?
 Na-ah, everything had been prepared.

God provided an escape for Jacob.
After the birthright mess he created with his mother, Jacob got the sweetest second chance from God.

God provided for Jacob, his family and his people.
The famine could have been a problem but it wasn't anymore. Thanks to Joseph's brothers who sold him.

God provided a great future for Joseph.
He is the man who gave the book of Genesis a stupendous ending. Indeed, others meant it for harm, but everything that Joseph went through came about for the completion of God's work, the saving of many lives! (and still continues up to this very moment;)

Is there any need he cannot provide? NONE! NOTHING! he can provide and he will provide everything for his children.
The next time you feel "lacking", get your Bible, it's not so hard to find, read the book of Genesis and enjoy!

From the heart,
Teacher Jane

This is my very first bold attempt to write and reflect about your Holy Word. God, you know how I have been so amazed about my entering the Bible school. It makes me so ecstatic to learn about your word every single night I'm there. Really, there's no better thing than being crazy about you, your mysteries and your powerful gospel. Whatever you want to do with me and through me, accomplish it. I'm ready!

STARFIELD

Through forgotten convictions
Misplaced affection I'm losing the sound of Your voice
I've been chasing after emptiness
Trying to tidy up this mess
I swear I've been down this road before
I want to get back to where it all began
When I would long for only You
Like a child, I'll take You at Your word
As these mountains of doubt, they fade away
I'm longing to trust and love You more
So, for me this is beautiful
A brand new thought and a brand new world
Can I stay here forever here with You?
I've lost sight of what first drew me
To the love that pursued me
The joy that inspired my song
The friendship that was all I knew
he arms that I would fall into
Seem miles and years from where I am today
I got to get back to where it all began
When I would wait for only You
Oh Lord, like a child, I'll take You at Your word
As these mountains of doubt, they fade away
I'm longing to trust and love You more
So, for me this is beautiful
A brand new thought and a brand new world
Can I stay here forever here with You?
Can I stay here forever, here with you?
Surrounded by Your mercy, clothed in Your truth
Always, I'll stay, always here with You
Can I be here forever, here with You?
Can I know what it's like to deeply love You?
Always, Lord, let me stay, always, here with You
Like a child, I'll take You at Your word
As these mountains of doubt, they fade away
I'm longing to trust and love You more
So, for me this is beautiful
A brand new thought and a brand new world
Can I stay here forever here with You?
Can I stay here forever here with You?

I fell in love with this song 5 years ago. Those were the days when i felt so frustrated, so confused and so in pain and  God used this song to bring me back where I should be. His presence, his throne, his arms. Jesus is my first love but I know i have hurt him so many times, I haven't been a very faithful lover . But his response was always awesome. Despite my monstrous sins and compromises, My Jesus loves me not just the same but even more sweeter than the first time I ever met him.

Tough times, difficult people and circumstances out of my control do have the tendency to get me back to my cynically rebellious old self. I question, and question and just question. I get mad, angry and start hating a bit.;(
But truly His power at work with in me is greater than anything else. I know I can do this. My God is up to something really BIG and that is why I have to go through another time of pain and frustration because of my commitment to teach, to love and to excel. There is a  price for commitment and I'm willing to pay it.

I'm writing this to cheer my self up. Now, I'm smiling. My best days are not over----because the wave is forever. And I am staying in my father's arms forever.

Storytelling

Wow! I just came home from my Creative Arts Class in the Bible School. Tonight was about "storytelling". Well, how many times have I heard this word? How many seminars and workshops have I attended and how many times have I done this? It's as if I'm so done already when it comes to storytelling. But not  tonight.Really! This thingy had never been more spiritually heavenly. Who could ever imagine that storytelling is so super connected to the Christian life, to a believer like me?

I love storytelling but little do I know about the impact and the usefulness of this thing in the ministry. The Bible is a wonderful book filled with stories. Jesus was  a wonderful storyteller, and that's basically what drew people and children to Him. once again, tonight God answered my questions about his calling me to be a preschool teacher. I am blessed to have this "gift" of talking and storytelling and naturally connecting to people of all ages. It's just soooo amazing!

I can't wait to do another storytelling in school and in Sunday school and in the other outreaches I'm involved with. I want to apply the newer things  I've learned, more techniques, highly spiritual strategies. Not only that, I am also excited to teach the younger generation, and pass on the love and the passion for storytelling to fellow teachers and to all the little children around me who wants to be just like me.;)

Thank you God because there is not a day that you do not inspire me. Continue to prepare me for the world! May I be so so ready to conquer it with you and for you!:)

second chances

when a kindergartner asks for a new sheet of paper because she messed up on her first, what do I do as  a teacher? give her a  second sheet, a new sheet? Yes, indeed!
Our God does the same, much more amazing because he does it even when we do not ask. He gives and grants second chances. Not just once but everyday. This thought should give everyone the courage to get up each day. Well, there is a clean sheet we can use everyday, a second chance we should all enjoy. The second chance comes from Him, the King of all kings! Now that should turn a our sighs into SMILES.
